Dr. EIiud Wekesa is a highly skilled Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist with 20 years of experience. He holds a PhD in Demography/Population Studies from the London School of Economics, UK. He has interests and expertise in Social Development; Population Health and development; Reproductive, Maternal, New-born, Child and Adolescent Health; Global Health; HIV/AIDS and Health systems. He has technical competencies in designing and managing rigorous quantitative and qualitative research; designing monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks and tools; baseline, midterm and end-term program evaluations, scientific and non-scientific writing and publishing and research-policy translation and communication.

 

 

He has worked in the design and implementation of research, programs and evaluations for different organizations, including: At the Forefront (ATF), Overseas Development Institute (ODI), African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC), Population Council, Population Services International/Kenya, UNFPA and UNICEF. He has worked with USAID, DFID and other donor funded partners in different countries in Africa. He is a certified Measure Evaluation & USAID M&E Specialist. He has previously been a Wellcome Trust Fellow/Scholar; Bixby Trust Fellow/Scholar; and Population Reference Bureau Fellow. He is committed to excellence in Research, M&E, learning and knowledge sharing aimed at improving health and socio-economic wellbeing in communities. He currently works as a lecturer and an independent Research and M&E Consultant.
